![]() I am a little distraught about this issue, given the amount of time spent on this laptop. I am concerned that if I upgrade, my sound may go away. It is my observation that pop has the oldest kernel of the bunch. Battery life great AFTER i did not encrypt whole disk (just user directory - this made a large difference in fan noise and battery life curiously). POP_OS!: The only distribution that has worked with both sound and hybrid graphics. Solus: installed fine with sound, but after eopkg upgrade (new 5.7 kernel), sound went away! MX KDE: sound is present, but could not install hybrid graphics module.ĭeepin: would not load for some reason (md5sum ok) - i was mostly interested in the reported improvement in fingerprint scanner detection. Manjaro 20.1: installs fine, no sound, bluetooth worked. Bluetooth worked.ĭebian 10.6 nonfree iso: no network card detected, could not install. Here is a list of the distros I have tried:ĮOS KDE: above results. I have tried the latest EOS installer as well, no sound. ![]() I have tried the online help from arch for similar sound issues to no avail. I really like EOS and was sad that I couldn’t make it work. ![]() My new laptop, an x360 - 15.6 hybrid, has been a nightmare. I run endeavour on my desktop without any problems. This has happened to me before on my new laptop and sadly remains unresolved. ![]()
